Patient Advocate - Bariatrics
The primary role of the Patient Advocate / Bariatric Coordinator is coordination of care for bariatric surgery patients and management of ongoing Bariatric Surgery Center of Excellence (BSCOE) compliance. This includes bariatric program development, Patient advocates oversight, patient and staff education, as well as the oversight of multidisciplinary teams and acting as the liaison between the hospital and surgical practice.
Bachelors degree in a healthcare field.
Experience in Bariatrics (surgical weight loss program) preferred.
Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
Ability to operate various office machines, computers, software packages, and patient therapeutic equipment and/or machines required.
