Job Description

Provides direct and indirect patient care. Communicates withphysicians/ director/charge nurse/co-workers, as appropriate about changes inpatient’s clinical condition including results of diagnostic studies andsymptomatology.  Is able to triage and assess the patient respondingappropriately and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment.  Additionally, is able to perform general nursingduties in assigned department. Additional functions applicable when acting asCharge Nurse: Makes patient care assignments based on the skill, experience,and temperament of other nursing personnel and on the acuity of the patients,ensuring patient, staff safety, assist in the evaluation of performance andskills of Agency/Temporary staff as well as permanent critical care staff.


Regulatory Requirements:

-Current Arizona Registered Nurse Licensure.

-BLS certificate. 

-ACLS (annual and within 3 months of hire for newstaff).

-PALS (annual or within 6 months of hire for newstaff as required).

Language Skills:

-Ability to read and communicate effective inEnglish.

-Additional languages preferred


-Basic computer knowledge.

-Critical thinking and multitasking.
